In 2024 we see many strikes in US.
What do the workers want? Increase pay, because living cost are increasing.
Question arise why is workers see only one site of the problem? Why?
Problems defined as such: price for everything increase and pay amount is not enough to cover needs.
There is two solutions for the problem. Solution one is question, why is price cost for everything are increasing? Solution number two is to ask employer to pay more money.
Question is why all strikes only targeting employer by asking demanding more pay?
Lets see what happened in 2024. strike at Fedex. Strikes got increase of wage pay but shortly after company did lay off many employees.
Question is why union push workers only into direction of the wage increase and not to demand from politicians to stop punishing inflation up and only up?
Do you need example? Portland Oregon, closed border of the city of Portland. This did increase demand for housing and this did push housing cost up. When price going up than property tax going up as well.
Why unions and workers not directing their demand against of governor of Oregon, city leaders and politicians in the capital of state of Oregon which is Salem Oregon?
The result will be very simple. Business will reduce amount of the union employees, and outsource jobs to the none union businesses or even abroad.
